As much as I appreciate a bangin beat and a thoughtful mashup though, there is still no substitute for the sound of flesh on a string, the air across a vocal chord and the sublime transferance of the universal spirit that occurs during a live performance by a musician? My foresight tells me that after all is said and done, there will be a return to all that is pure in music. An instrument , a soul, the senses and the elements communicating the language of the divine Universe. Today I am listeing to Lead Belly and Woody Guthrie. He had his guitar, a bass drum, a snare drum, two foot pedals and a mouth organ. I was in awe of his brilliance. He is definately someone who has been gifted as a conduit for all that is pure and natural in termns of musical and artistic creativity. Such a wonderful talent. Genuis.
