I grew up around there too, so I did all the early morning footage driving around all my old haunts.

I love how security made me put my camera away, even though I was there at the request of the management but look at all the cell phone recording in the above image.  I made the below image with a cute little panasonic point and shoot.
The image that appears below was constructed from 100 or so 20MP stills from a canon SLR with a 50mm f1.2  I stitched it by hand, after making HDR images of each position in the panorama.  It took weeks of processing.

PERSONAL STATEMENT :

I fell in love with photography as a 6 year old.  I’ve been making pictures, moving and static ever since.  In my humble opinion there is only one subject in pictures: light.

I try to do as much as I can with as little as possible as to not interfere with the creative process.  I am an advocate of increasing attention spans, attempting to capture everything in a single continuous camera move.

For the last 5 years I’ve worked exclusively with musician and producer Daniel Lanois.  As such I’ve filmed, live and in studio, Neil Young, Brian Blade, Emmylou Harris, and Garth Hudson to name a few.  I’ve become a specialist in documenting music and artists as a one-man film crew, and acting simultaneously as secondary audio recordist, multi-camera operator and film mix supervisor.  I prefer handheld camera operation and natural light whenever possible.  I have extensive and expanding camera knowledge, and a propensity for emotional potency in media via my use of the camera. I edit all of my own footage including doing colour correction and post FX work.

I am diligent in my work and have an unwavering commitment to quality.

I have one rule: Record everything.
